Which links are affiliate links

Any link that takes you to a page where you can buy the product should be assumed to be an affiliate link. That includes buttons, product names in the body text, and product images. Links to manufacturer documentation, safety standards, news coverage and other reference material are not affiliate links.

What this does and doesn't influence

Honestly: it influences what we review. Categories where products carry a commission are more likely to get covered than categories where they don't, because that's what pays for the testing. We'd rather say that than pretend otherwise.

What it does not influence is the verdict. We don't rank by commission rate, we don't upgrade a recommendation because a program pays better, and we publish critical findings about products we earn from. If a cheaper option with no affiliate program is the better buy, that's what the review will say.

Programs we participate in

We take part in a number of retailer and brand affiliate programs. Individual reviews name the retailer you'll be sent to when you click through, so you always know where a link leads before you follow it.

Prices shown on this site were accurate at the time of writing and can change without notice. The price on the retailer's own checkout page is the one that applies. Discounts and promotions mentioned in a review may expire.
